Potty Humour

Charlotte came home from the paddle club the other day and told me the most hilarious story:

“Hey, Dad. Today, when I was swimming, I did a massive fart under water, then knew I needed to go to the bathroom. So I asked my instructor if I could be excused, and then, I had the most amazing poop. (Giggles). It felt really, really good.”
“I love those satisfying poops, Tig,” I added, smiling. “Did it make you feel better?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, grinning. Clearly quite proud of herself for having shared the joke without admonishment from her father.
Michelle rolled her eyes and went back into the safety of her iPhone.
“Anyways, there was this lady—one of the parents, I think—having a meeting while she was sitting on the toilet in the other stall.”

“Urgh, she was talking to her work colleagues while she was taking a poo?”
“Yep!” (Giggling some more)...
“(Laughing) Gross. I had an old boss that used to do that.”
Charlotte cracked up and nodded, blushing red in the cheeks.
“So, what did you do?”
“Well, one of my instructors was in the room, so I had to wait until she was gone so I could finish; but then, I waited until a pause in the lady’s conversation, and flushed the toilet (she started cracking up)—so everyone at her work would know she was taking a work call in the potty!

We both burst out laughing. We were laughing so hard, we couldn't even high-five over her awesomeness. Then Charlotte got the hiccoughs. I have never been so proud of my kid as I was during that hilarious moment.

Too funny, kid. That’s my girl!

xx,
W
