Sailing in Chester

To celebrate Michelle’s return home from St. John’s, NL, and Will’s inevitable return to work, the girls headed down to Chester, Nova Scotia to join Gump, for a sail aboard the good ship, Morningwatch.

Having grown up on a yacht herself, Michelle had much to teach Charlotte about trimming the sails, avoiding the rocks, and the importance of holding a true course in the Chester Basin, lest you run aground on some rich American’s lifestyle property.

It was great to see them out on the water, enjoying themselves with Tim, who was grateful for the help and a bit of peace and quiet on the water.

On the drive home, Michelle and Charlotte talked about how Rob & Kate in Whitianga would be proud of the little first mate we are cultivating here in Canada.

We certainly look forward to one day setting sail in Mercury Bay sometime on a future trip home to New Zealand.

Ship ahoy, mates!
