Charlotte’s Betty Painting

Completely out of the blue, Charlotte brings home this little gem, and instantly, we thought of the beautiful silk paintings produced by her great-grandmother, Betty Fraser.

“You use white crayon to draw the flower, then paint over it with glue. That’s how come the colours don’t run when you use the dye.”

Moments later, Charlotte was seen completing the Listener crossword using fountain pen, while smoking a cigarette, and sipping contentedly at a glass of dry cooking sherry.
