Christmas was extended a few days while we waited for our Xmas Skype call with Dumby and Dianne, but while Sean was out sailing in Whitianga, Air Asia Flight 8501 went missing, then poor old Dumby was launched on his second aircraft search for 2014.
So, with no Skype call possible, we used our teeth to open the package anyways, and guess who popped out: Alice the Camel (from the UAE), who incidentally is the perfect size for Poppy (the doll's from Waldronville to ride).
It is now late March, and Alice the Came and Poppy are still tucked into Charlotte's bed, and they are still inseparable. Here's hoping Uncle Dumby gets a break from all these international headlines sometime soon. We'd love to hear how he's getting on.
