Crashed Out in the Grill House

Sheesh ~ Christmas is hard work!

Bird Watching: You're doing it wrong!

Charlotte was checking out her new Minnie Mouse "Action Play-set", complete with compass, 35mm camera, and her much loved "P-noc-cleurs" [shown here].

(BTW, there were five more ducks in the river below. Just sayin').

Parcel from Dumby & Dianne

Christmas was extended a few days while we waited for our Xmas Skype call with Dumby and Dianne, but while Sean was out sailing in Whitianga, Air Asia Flight 8501 went missing, then poor old Dumby was launched on his second aircraft search for 2014.
So, with no Skype call possible, we used our teeth to open the package anyways, and guess who popped out: Alice the Camel (from the UAE), who incidentally is the perfect size for Poppy (the doll's from Waldronville to ride).

"Nope. Stop. I think this is supposed to be a Birthday present!"
Xmas Eve Ham at Roy & Lorna's

"Please... can I open just one more present before Santa comes? Please, can I?

"Yes. She said, 'Yes'!"...
[YAWN] "Tired... I really can't wait til Santa comes, Cassie."
Zonked.

Xmas Eve ~ Opening Grampa Mike's Parcel Early

"Mum said I could open the BIG one!"
"WOW! Look at all the presents. Oh, I'm soOoo Happy it's Christmas!"

Halifax - Home Sweet Home

Happy to be back in Halifax. Although miles from home (on the other side of the planet), this is home now; and it's nice to be back where things are routine, familiar, and you can relax and live your life.

The MacKay Bridge looks splendid in its usual "drab-green" paint scheme. The ferry was running on time...

...and while we left Canada looking like this...

...we came back from New Zealand to find it looking like... well, this!

Even the Geese were back from their Winter hide-away...
