Nothing like a brisk Boxing Day squirrel hunt in the native flora to get your juices flowing...
...it wasn't snowing when we set out, but we were happy for the snow suit (and the quick trip to Tim Horton's for some well-deserved Timbits) when we got back.

The pictures speak for themselves - Xmas morning was a blast (after the obligatory sleep-in til 10am of course. Thank-you Charlotte)...

I would love to send each of you who forwarded gifts to Tig an individual thank-you card. Unfortunately, the wrappers and cards all came off before we had much of a chance to see what was given by who...

...so instead, you'll have to accept this "Thank-you Blog" as simple token of our appreciation.

Needless to say, everything unwrapped on Christmas Day, was flippin' awesome!!!

Twas The Night Before Christmas

This Christmas Eve we were treated to a wonderful home cooked meal at Roy and Lorna's with Colin and Andrea joining in the feast as well. The kids all sat at the kiddies table, and drank warm milk and orange juice, leaving the adults free to enjoy their meal in relative peace and festive tranquility over a glass of wine or three.
Roy cooked up the King of all hams, with minted peas, potatoes, and mashed carrots to garnish the dish. To top it off, there was pecan pie and ice cream (just in case there were any hungry people left in the room).
Thanks guys, it was a good time had by all.
Charlotte was especially grateful to have the opportunity to hang out in Lilly's room!!!
